Emotions are here to be felt
From a very young age, we learn to suppress our emotions. But not expressing them is deeply unhealthy for our body. Suppressed emotions can lead to health issues and, on a more subtle level, to blockages in our energetic system that actually wants to flow through us. Many of us never truly learned how to feel and express our emotions, or even how to speak about them. Instead, we put on masks that make it easier to fit into this world and behave like everyone else.
And this doesn’t end with our childhood – it continues into our work life: showing emotions is often labeled as unprofessional. To me, this is toxic. It’s just another way of treating people as if we were robots, and then we wonder why we face so many problems in this world.
I just want to say one thing: let’s come back to being human. All of our emotions – good or bad – have the right to be here. It is okay to feel them, to show them, to express them, no matter what gender you are. If more people would openly talk about their emotions and allow themselves to express them, we would collectively realize that beneath all the masks, we are all the same and in the end, we all want to be seen and especially: be loved.Â
This is my little reminder: allow yourself to actively practice talking about your emotions and showing them without guilt – whether it’s anger, fear, frustration, or most importantly, joy. Expressing your emotions in a world like this is actually an act of strength.
