Change Within, Change Without

Alcohol
It’s actually astonishing how normalized alcohol is in our society. A drink here and there may seem harmless, but excessive consumption—and this applies to other substances as well—can deeply affect our energy field. Alcohol doesn’t just alter our physical perception; it also shifts our energetic vibration. When people drink, it’s often noticeable that they behave completely differently or do things they normally wouldn’t. This isn’t only due to reduced cognitive control. On a subtle level, our inner filters become more permeable, inhibitions drop, and suppressed emotions or unconscious aspects of our personality surface. Our energy field becomes disturbed, our senses change, and we often react more impulsively or unconsciously. Moreover, we become more open to energetic attachments. Yes, that exists. If you keep your frequency low, as through alcohol, you inadvertently attract negatively vibrating energies into your field. I’m very sensitive—it doesn’t have to be all black-and-white, at least not for me. But it’s definitely a heartfelt recommendation: if you’re on a more conscious path, consider reducing your consumption.

News
I haven’t read the news for years. Not because I’m uninterested in world events, but because I noticed more and more how focused the news is on negativity. As an empath, this affected me too often. And the sad part: no matter what happens, we can’t change it anyway, yet we start our day with a heavy feeling. Let’s be honest: the really important things we learn about today through social media or friends & acquaintances anyway. That’s why I no longer start my day with the news but prefer to do something else. I generally prefer to educate myself, learn effectively, or simply engage in something that uplifts my mood.

Small Circle
Uff, I had to learn this the hard way, but: it’s definitely not about quantity, it’s about quality. There’s a reason people say you are the result of your five closest friends. I love being around like-minded people and also enjoy meeting new ones. With every person who is close to us, we build not only a human connection but also an energetic one. This can be light and balanced—or not. Pay attention to how you feel after meeting a friend. If you repeatedly feel tired or drained, there may be an energetic imbalance between you. Someone gives more than they receive—or literally drains your energy.

The Power of Thoughts
I love learning about the power of thoughts and continually feel how much we can influence ourselves—in any direction we choose. Even meditation often brings a sense of calm because our thoughts no longer wander aimlessly in the head. :) When we combine this with effective exercises—like guided evening meditations or consciously trying to be fully present for a while—we can already notice a significant difference. For me, it’s extremely fascinating how powerful thoughts are. And also how the world reflects our inner state back to us: when we are negative, we are likely to attract negative people or situations. When we are positive, our whole mood shifts, our field—and with that the outside world as well. The more we are aware, the more we can shift our reality.

More Time in Nature
I naturally spend more time in nature, of course also because I have a dog. Hiking, recharging and simply enjoying.
